Law is a method to restrict human’s behaviour and it makes the society more safety. If someone breaks the law, they have to be punished. By the gravity of the situation, the punishments are different. Among them, Capital punishment, also referred to as the death penalty, is the execution of a person by the state as punishment for a crime. Regarding this punishment, people have fierce debates, some are against it; some are support it. Nowadays, only about 40 countries are still using the death penalty. From my point of view, death penalty is an effective punishment and it cannot be abolished.

if the death penalty did not exist, people are hard to notice how serious of killing someone; in other words, nothing could threaten their lives, because no matter what the criminals did, they do not have to die. Therefore, the crime rate could be increased. This mentality might make them imagine that “break the law just a piece of cake”, and they would do what they want to do without hesitation. However, death penalty bring fear to the criminals, a research shows that most of the criminals will express theirs penitence for the faults when they are going to be executed. In other words, they are afraid to die. In addition, the death penalty is also a tocsin for people, to warn them that never break the law. This is also a good way to decrease the crime rate. Especially for the large population counties, citizen's qualities are not at the same level. This is the reason that why death penalty cannot be abolished.

Have you ever seen the movie "saving private Ryan"? the movie was directed by Steven Spielberg. It tells us an impressively story. They are all fight on the battle fields, Why Ryan have the chance to go home? Why he is particular? But the war is cruel. People have no choice, they have to obey. I think the author’s purpose is to tell us “Life is precious, and people should help each other during the war.” Miller and his man use their life to save another life, if I were Miller, I will ask myself: can I make this decision? People can’t control the happen of the war, but they can decide whether they want to help others. I think I am very lucky to live in this peace century, I needn’t to face this hard situation, and I needn’t to suffer the war. I am really strong recommending this movie. From it, you will see how human nature gets to a higher level in the war.

According to the damage of amnesia, many scientists devote their life to research, and hope to find a way to solve it. However, there is no way to cure it completely. Things we can do are to prevent it from happening and mitigate the symptom. One of the solutions is keeping the patient have a good mood. It will have a good effect on adjusting nervous system and make the cell of the brain dynamic, to make sure the memory could be recovered. Another example is to keep a good habit of living. This movie was shocked me, not only the sad ending, but also the meaning of the movie, we can find the most precious sensation from every small scene. For instance, when the ship was nearly sank, the 4 musicians were still play the music, they were tried to make other people feel better; The first mate killed 2 people by gun, after he did this he killed himself; two old couple lay on the bed together; a mother was telling story to her children; the captain back to his room and wait for the last second of his life...When the life is being threaten, what is the first reflection of human? The director just show the human race perfectly. This movie was made in 1998. Now it is 2008, ten years has passed. When I surfing on the internet, I found a really interesting introduction of a movie and it was made by a supper fans of Titanic. Maybe the theme is unbelievable-Jack come to the life!

When people get old, they always have some health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, or other serious illness. However, there is a disease which is not deadly, but very common and troublesome. It is very hard for a patient to be fully recovered. It is called “Amnesia”. The symptom of amnesia is very incredible, when people talking to the patient one thing and after one hour he could forget the thing he got completely. In addition, they would talk one thing with a same person again and again, even they have said it for many times, or just ask same questions more than once—even they have got the answer. In Beijing, which is my home town, I have seen this kind of patient for many times, even in my family.
